7:45pm: Praying with the Spirit

For those who would like to deepen their experience of prayer, this is a new course, Praying with the Spirit, developed by Gill Cody. Drawing on her wide experience, Gill will look at how the Spirit can inspire prayer, worship, and outreach. With space for practical exercises, this course will run over three sessions:

Recognising and understanding the voice of God, Monday 13 January

Streams of prayer and worship: contemplative prayer, prayer ministry, and intercession, Monday 3 February

Prophecy outside the church: prayers, actions, and conversations, Monday 2 March

Although the advertised start is 7.45pm, optional worship will be available from 7.15pm. This course is also open to people outside of St Stephen's, so do feel free to let others know.

7:30pm: The Bereavement Journey starts

The Bereavement Journey is intended to be of help to those who have been bereaved for some months or even years. The 5/6 week course uses short videos which are sensitively presented by a bereavement counsellor. These are followed by small group discussions about the particular issue e.g. the experience of loss; the pain of grief; coping with change and moving on. It is suitable for people of faith and no faith and will take place in a safe and confidential space.

If you would like to attend the course or would like to find out more information, please contact Caryn Weber at carynweber@st-stephens.org.uk or 020 8843 7047.
