Pregnancy crisis centre
Established by St Stephen's in 1999 and now an independent charity, the Crossway Pregnancy Crisis Centre supports those facing the trauma of an unplanned pregnancy or pregnancy loss. The centre seeks to support women, and their partners, in the boroughs of Richmond, Hounslow and Kingston.
The service is unbiased, confidential, and free. The centre does not offer advice, or an opinion, on what a person should do in the case of an unplanned pregnancy. The staff are trained to provide active listening which to allows clients the time and space they need to work through their own thoughts and feelings and come to a decision.
The centre also offers factual information, free pregnancy tests, and a 'befriending service' for women who are dealing with a pregnancy in difficult circumstances.
