At St Stephen’s we have a range of midweek activities for seniors in the church and community alike. We welcome anyone to come along and find friendship, support and spiritual nourishment.

Transport can be provided for some of the activities. We ask for a small donation to cover materials, speakers costs, etc., where indicated below.

Mondays

Lunch Club | Centenary Room | 12.30pm | 1st and 3rd Monday

The Lunch Club offers a warm welcome to seniors from the church and local community. After sharing a meal together there is a short talk or entertainment. £3

Arts & Crafts | Centenary Room | 10.30am | 1st Tuesday

Bring your own work or learn a new skill – crochet and knitting are the current favourites. There is a charge of £1 to cover materials.

Monday Fellowship | Centenary Room | 2.30pm | 2nd and 4th Monday

At Monday Fellowship there is a short devotional time, followed by a talk or entertainment, and refreshments. There is also an annual summer outing. £1

Wednesdays

Chairobics | Spring Room | 2pm | Every Wednesday

Chairobics is an excellent exercise class for older people in the church or local community, led by a trained physiotherapist. Use the Spring Room entrance that overlooks the Crossway (the building next to the church). Walk past the Crossway door: Spring Room door is on your right. Does not always meet in school holidays. £2

Thursdays

Seniors Life Group | Centenary Room | 10.30am | 1st and 3rd Thursday

A friendly group that begins with coffee time. We share thoughts on a Bible passage, have discussions in small groups and pray for each other. Microphones are used and large print materials are available. There is also a social morning once a term, followed by lunch.

Healing Service | Centenary Room | 10.30am | 2nd and 4th Thursday

This is a reflective service of healing and encouragement, with the opportunity for prayer ministry. We celebrate Holy Communion on the fourth Thursday of the month.
