At the Thursday night Drop-In we serve a meal and provide practical and pastoral support for homeless and vulnerable adults in the area.

Each week we open the Centenary room in the main Church building and welcome up to 50 guests.

We aim to create a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centred family atmosphere in which guests feel accepted and can relax over a meal, play board games or participate in literacy and art groups. During the evening there are also opportunities for worship, prayer and hearing from God’s Word.

In providing practical and pastoral support to our guests, the Thursday night Drop-In team are involved in anything from letter writing to hospital and prison visiting, debt counselling, offering assistance in finding training courses or employment, cooking meals or simply inviting interested guests to join their Life Group.

Every summer there is an organised trip to the seaside, and in mid-December we have a special Christmas Dinner.

If you are interested in joining the Thursday night Drop-In team and helping out, please contact the Church Office on 020 8892 5258 or office@st-stephens.org.uk
